Ignatz (Ignatious) Marousek b. 30 July 1862 Moravia, Elizabeth b. 19 March 1871, Moravia Pisek, Bohemia? Elizabeth became Catholic Nun Sr. Nepomecene in US. Mary Marousek b. abt 1878 Moravia. Many Marousek people have been found in Chicago, Illinois USA, Cook County but we cannot figure out who belongs to who. The other name we are looking for is Radilova, Emma (Emily) b. 25 December 1864 Lidice, Czechoslovakia, Father James Radil. Mother unknown. I am searching for the family of John Fredrich Dworschak, born Nov. 1865, in Mahren Trubau, Austria, now known as Moravia Trebova, Czech. He had 2 brothers. One died mysteriously of poisoning in 1935. He also had 1 sister, whose married name was Rief. She had 7 children. I'm looking for relatives of William Spevak, b. 1855, somewhere in Czechoslovakia. He married Anna Kohout, b.1857, location unknown, circa 1874. After George Kocurek died in Moravia in 1872 Anna Prihoda Kocurek married Joseph Nosek in Moravia and they had 1 daughter named Rosina Nosek b.3/21/1884. After Joseph Nosek died in Moravia Anna Prihoda (Kocurek/Nosek) came to the USA in 1892. She died around Fayetteville, Texas around 1896. I am in need of information on all the above.

Looking for Dusek family information. Vinc Dusek came into Galveston with his family and settled in Flatonia and then Wallis Texas. Vinc's youngest daughter, Justina was born in 1893, in Flatonia and married Louis Matej. Their only daughter Johanna "Jane" married Walton Mudd. Their oldest daughter is my mother. After Justina and Louis moved out of the Houston area to the very southern part of Texas, the family split, and we now know nothing of the rest of the Duseks in Texas. I am also interested in finding out about the family back in Moravia and Bohemia. The only thing I know about Vinc, is that his father's name was Peregrine, and that he had a twin brother. It was because he had a twin that he was sent to live with his aunt who had no children. If anyone can help with anything, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

I am seeking any information regarding a Louis Jelinek who came to United States from Czechoslavakia sometime between 1865 and 1890. When he arrived in United States he may have come wiht a brother and his wife's family Cizak, he settled in Springfield, Mass. and his name was Americanized to Yelinek. All I know of his life over in Czech is that his family was in the business of cigar making, and that his fathers grave is supposed to read Jelinek. Researching: STRAKA, KOLLMANN, VINCENZ, KRAMER
Looking for grandfather Henry Straka b July 15, 1867, and wife Mary Kramer Straka m. Sep 21, 1889, who immigrated to the US and homesteaded near Atkinson/Stuart, Nebraska. They had 13 children -- all accounted for in this area. Grandpa Henry often spoke Czech. My other grandfathe Johann Kollman and wife Mary Straka Kollman also immigrated to US from ? and homesteaded land at Stuart Nebraska. Johann filed a Declaration of Intention with the Platte County Courthouse, Columbus, Nebraska, on 1 Nov 1880, renouncing his Austrian citizenship. Johann and Mary had 2 daughters, Theresa and Mary -- accounted for. Johann then married Mary Vincenz (know nothing about her or her family) and they had 4 children: Catherine, Cecelia, Johanna and John. Johann spoke German. I have no information on any of their families left behind nor the towns from where they came. Anybody who might have anything to help me out would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for information on Wenzell (also sp. Wentzell) Popp, b. October 1824 in Olbersdorf, Landskroun, Chrudim, Bohemia (now located in the Czech Republic). He married first Rosalia (surname unknown). He immigrated in about 1869 to Illinois first and then on to Minnesota. Theresia appears to have been married before she married Wentzell Popp and Slinger appears to be her married surname from her first(?) marriage. Theresia's first husband appears to have been named Jacob Slinger or Schlinger.

Researching: APPELT, LEGLER
Looking for relatives of Joseph Anton Appelt (b.1779) and Marie Legler Appelt (b.1792) of Neustadt, Bohmen. They migrated to Texas with six adult children, two of whom returned to Neustadt. The families corresponded for many years ( at least until the 1930's, if not later) but have lost contact. I believe the town of Neustadt is now named Novy Mysto pod Smrkem--is this right? Any help in locating relatives or ways of locating records would be appreciated.

Researching: KLIMA
I am looking for relatives of Emil G. Klima who was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1914 and died in March of 1962. Emil is buried in Forestlawn cemetary in Glendale, CA. I believe he was married to Dorothy M. Klima of Burbank, CA.
