Looking for relatives or any information on Joseph Matousek and his wife Marie Pospisil. They had two sons, Ladislav Joseph (my father), and Zdenka. Ladislav was born in Kromeriz, CZ, on June 23, 1908, and later imigrated to the US. Ladislav had no contact with his family after 1951. Any information would be most welcome. My mother, Marie Jurajdova Matousek, was born July 17, 1916 in Lazne Belahrad, CZ. She married Ladislav Matousek and came to the US in 1951. She was the daughter of Vit Jurajda and Marie Knejflova. Any information on this family would be most welcome! Last I heard, other descendants may be living outside of Prague.

Bolf family that were from Czech. I have read that they were from Morevia, ended up in Texas and Oklahoma USA. One is Mary Blinka dob @1872 married Frank Bolf after they were in USA before 1900. I am hopeing for a connection. Bolf, Blinka, Cabakova, Vicek, Juraida, Blaha, Jirikova, Jirik, Vojacek are surnames I am reasearching. They were from Moravia. The relatives I know of were born in Bohemia and lived there. Their surnames are Kross (Kros); Hrabak; Unger; Vogel. To my knowledge they were born in Nurschan, Bohemia. Also Piwonka (Pivonka) born in Bukovany, Bohemia; and Prevatil born in Ch_______, Bohemia (is there a village near one of the Bukovany villages with a name starting with Ch, (those are the villages where my grandmother (Prevatil) and grandfather (Bukovany) were born.) Researching: LEDERER
I am looking for my ancestors, the members of the family of Rudolf Lederer, who lived in Vodnany till the end of the 1930s. Mr Lederer was married and had two or three children in school-age. They owned a small textile factory, the Rulco. The present owners replied me - after very long hesitation - that they had absolutely no records on the fate of Mr Lederer. The local authorities in Vodnany have left my inqueries without any answer. I would appreciate any hints that might bring me closer to the history of this family.

I am researching Frantisek Vencl and his wife Elisabeth Vebr who lived in Privrat #29 circa 1820's and Frantisek Vencl and his wife Anna Juva who lived in Dlouha Trebova #100. Only their son Frantisek who was my grandfather, Frantisek Vencl born 28 Aug 1851 survived while 3 siblings died very early. Frantisek's father died and his mother, Anna Juva Wencl remarried two more times. Anna Juva was born 4 Dec 1824 in Kerhatice #12, the daughter of Joseph Juva and Mariana Magdalena Pavek. Joseph Juva's father was Joseph Juva and his mother was Helena Schalda, the daughter of Jan Schalda from Jehnedi #1 I would like to know if anyone knows what happened to Anna Juva Vencl after her first husband died. My grandmother Anna Rosalie Ploc born 21 Dec 1854 Ceske Trebova #604 and baptized same date left Ceske Trebova late fall of 1881 with her father Josef Ploc born at Usti nad Orlici #212 and his wife Anna Rybickova born 1836 Ceske Trebova #196 who was the daughter of John Rybicka and Rozalie Unzeitegove. Anna Rosalie Ploc's two younger brothers came with her parents and settled near Blooming Prairie, Minn. I would like to know if Anna Rybickova was related to a Rybicka who became Ceske Trebova's first Czech mayor in 1848. Anna Rybickova's older siblings Anna, Christina, Martin, Adeladide and Marie may have married and remained in Ceske Trebova. It would be interesting to know what happened to these folks. My great grandfather, Frantisek Vencl, born 25 May 1823 Privrat#29 mother was Elisabeth Vebr from Ostrov #122. Does anyone have information of the Vebr family from Ostrov #122? Has anyone done research on Frank Vencl born 1760 in Privrat and his wife Catherine Lana?

Researching Moucha from Sudjeov, - Svata Ana and Vojta from Kutna Hora later at Pivnisko. Would like to know of any relatives that I have from Sudjevo in Bohemia. They are the decendents of Anton Moucha. My father was Joseph Moucha, whose mother died when he was about 12, was born in 1892. His father remarried and he had stepsisters - Emma Moucha Krenek, Pavla Moucha Pesek, - both came to the United States. Two other stepsisters, Marenka and Ana and a stepbrother, Anton are still in Bohemia. I am seeking information on my great-grandmother, Barbara Marik, and her siblings. They were from Zebrakov, parish Lasovice, near Milevsko, Tabor, Bohemia. Between 1869 and 1872 at least five members of the Marik family immigrated to America. They were Barbara Marik b. 1846, Joseph J. Marik b. 12 Mar 1856 (married Barbara Panka), Mary Marik (married Joseph Klika), Frank Marik, and Hynek Marik b. 1860 (married Josephine Nedved). Barbara Marik married Ignatius Vacha and moved to Michigan. The others moved to Chicago, Illinois. I am most anxious to make contact with their descendants. My great-great-grandmother was Anna Hlavac. She was born ca 1824 in Bohemia and died 29 Apr 1899 in Chicago, Cook Co, IL. She married Frank Skopec in Bohemia around 1848. They immigrated to America ca 1866. With them were at least three children: Frank Skopec Jr (born 1849), John Skopec (born ca 1850), and Joseph Skopec (born 1863). I'm looking for information on the family of John Vacha who came to America from Czechoslovakia (Bohemia) in 1869 with at least three of his sons. Besides John Sr. the group included John Vacha / Wacha (b.16 May 1841), his wife Marie Hezouchka (b1845), daughter Antonia (b1867), son Joseph J.(1869), Peter Vacha / Wacha, and Ignatius (Henry) Vacha / Wacha (b 1844) who was my great-grandfather. Researching: REHA, SOVODO

I am interested in any information of my great-great-grandparents from Bohemia. Their names were Joseph Rushek, born 1853 in Pilzen. He immigrated to Wisconsin in 1867 and then to Nebraska. Researching: FANTA
I know little about my grandmother, Vlasta Fanta. She was orginally from Bohemia and mover to the United States as a young girl around 1930. Her father was an unfamous actor who was abandoned as a child and grew up recieving large sums of money from an unknown for the bulk of his life. He figured he was an illigitimate child of royalty, or at least someone with money. After my grandmother and moved to the United States she returned to Bohemia on many occasions to drag her father back to the United States as he kept on taking off to his homeland to look for his lost fortune. Strange story, I know. Does this sound familiar?

I have just begun my search on the Mlinar family -- originally from Zamberk, Bohemia. Particularly Frank J. Mlinar, born March 12, 1835 in Zamberk, married Carolyn Kodytek. Researching: DUDEK SCHWAB
I would like to find information about Frank Dudek, my wife's grandfather. The following is the only information we have about Frank. Frank Dudek: Born in Petrov, Bohemia on May 15, 1884. His parents were Frank and Josephine (nee Schwab) Dudek. Frank Sr, was born in 1852 and Josephine was born in 1855. Frank Dudek was the oldest male in the family, according to a family picture. Shown were two older sisters. From other pictures, it appears that the family was 6 brothers and 3 sisters. There was a wedding picture of Tomek and Mary Dudek from Sulikove (town in Bohemia) taken May 7, 1922. Other pictures are marked: Moravia & Olesnici. There are also pictures that are marked: Tomek, and Vadav. Frank Dudek immigrated to the United States from Bremen, Germany aboard the Vessel Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse. He arrived in New York on October 2, 1904. Frank Dudek's Declaration of Intention of becoming a U. S. citizen is dated Nov. 29, 1907, in Cook County, Illinois. Frank Dudek became a U. S. citizen on Nov. 15, 1920 in McLeod County, Minnesota, at the age of 36 years. He settled in Silver Lake, Minnesota and was a tailor. He raised a family, which has stayed local near the Silver Lake and Minneapolis areas, in Minnesota.
