Czech Republic Christmas Stamps
1993-2006 Issues

My favorite stamp in the Christmas series issued by Czech Post is the 1997 Christmas Carp stamp.

I wonder what the reaction would be in America if the United States Postal Service issued a stamp like the 1999 Christmas stamp of the Czech Republic?

In 2002 Czech Post also issued a Gifts from St. Nicholas stamp as a companion to the Christmas issue. The Feast of Nicholas is December 6.

Each year link will give you a photo of the Christmas stamp for the year along with date of issue, face value, number of stamps per sheet, size of the stamp, graphic Artist, engraver, method of printing, colors of the stamps, subject of the stamp, and catalogue number.

The small Czech mountain town of Bozi Dar, Gift of God in Czech, offers a very special Christmas service. The local post office uses a different Christmas cancel every year and people who want to make their Christmas greetings to friends really special send it to the Bozi Dar post office for mailing.
