Researching: KUSNIRIK, KUSHNERIK, KUSNERIK, KUSNERICK, MIKULA, LESHKO, RAPACH
We are looking for information regarding the origin or the above surnames and any relatives in the USA. My Grandfather, George Kusnirik migrated to the USA in the late 1800s with his wife Anna Mikula Kusnirik from Trebisov near Kocise, Slovakia. The information on his papers showed the country of origin as Austria. They moved to Trenton, NJ where he lived until his death in 1941. My grandmother died in 1912. Michael and Mary Rapach Leshko liven in a little coal mining town outside of Hazleton, PA called Ebervale. I am not sure of their town or origin or exactly where they come from in Slovakia but I believe they were from the upper part of the country. They were Greek Catholic.

By that marriage he begat: John Soltis (6); Andy Soltis (7); Steven Soltis (8); Alice Soltis (9); George Soltis (10); Mike Soltis (11) and Victor Soltis (12). Anna (Annie) (4) was born in Horatio, PA on November 19, 1889. She married William Jefferson Folsom, Jr. in May 18, 1916. That marriage begat Florence Soltis Folsom (13), who is my mother. Annie (4) died on March 3, 1962 in Mims, FL. Neither Mary (5) nor Alice (9) married. Alice (9) possibly died February of 1945 or 46 in McGus Mills, PA. Mary (5) died on February 26, 1984 in Johnstown, PA but was buried in Glen Campbell, PA. John Soltis (6) possibly died when Alice (9) did. Researching: SABOL, BANKO
I am Richard Sabol, Jr., the great grandson of Joseph Sabol, Sr. and Anna Banko Sabol, who immigrated to America from Zemplin County, Slovakia. Of Carpatho-Rusyn ethnicity, my great grandparents probably immigrated to this country to escape military service in Franz Josef's Austro-Hungarian Empire. Their immigration occurred prior to World War 1, and they settled in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. My great grandfather made his living as a billet maker in what became United States Steel's Duquesne Plant. The Sabol/Banko union resulted in the birth of the following children: Anna, Mary, Joseph, George, Margaret, and Michael. All were members of Saint Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, Pennsylvania. After Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968, and the death of ancestors on both sides of the ocean, contact with Europe was no longer maintained. I am seeking information on living relatives and ancestry. Further family details can be provided.

Researching: POCSATKO, SZTANISLAV, GABOR
I would like to know something about Anna Pocsatko, who married Georgius Sztanislav in 1860. Georgius was the son of Josephus Sztanislav and Helena Gabor. Anna Pocsatko was born circa 1839. Who were her parents? Did she have brothers and sisters? How can I learn about them? My husband is a Pocsatko. Besides his nephew, niece and our two kids, we did not know of any other relatives until yesterday, when I located 12 other Pocsatko members. Maybe you could tell us something about Anna's family. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
