Some highlights of the cookbook are Slovak Easter cheese, stuffed mushrooms, slanina, beet soup, cabbage soup, holubky, Slovak Christmas soup, pirohy, halusky, babka, stuffed peppers, kapusta, salmon cakes, pascha bread, nut kolac, pagach, cottage cheese Pascha bread, bobalky, poppy seed cake, Slovak bar cookies, studenina, cherigi, and more.

These are not laboratory tested recipes but tried and true recipes of Slovak-Americans.

The book includes the menus for traditional Easter basket and Christmas Eve vilija dinner.
