Looking for anyone with information relating to Christopher Nahrhaft, father of Johann, Henry and Anton(Anthony). They were born in Bohemia. Johann immigrated to USA in 1848. Johann converted to Judaism in the USA and was married to Theresa. They had a son, Emanuel, later to be called Benjamin. They immigrated to Israel where Benjamin married Sarah Kaufmann. They had a daughter and immigrated back to the USA around 1909. Henry lived in Praha, Czechoslovakia and had one son, Henry Jr. Christopher died in 1937, Henry Sr. in 1976. There seem to be some missing brothers and no word of any sisters. We know of a Neumann family that was forced out of Praha in 1946, but don't know quite how they relate.

Researching: KLOTZ
I am attempting to trace the birthplace of my great-great grandfather, John Klotz who was born in the Prague area. More important, I am attempting to discover the maiden name of his wife Anna. They came to America around 1850 and settled in South Dakota. There are several people by the name of Klotz in Prague, but in reviewing birth records from the Mormon Church his name does not appear. Thus, I can only assume he came from that area. Any help you can provide or put me in touch with someone who may seek this information would be most appreciated.

I am trying to track descendents of James Vaclav Havel. He was born on January 1, 1842 in Bohemia, Czechoslovakia and came to America in 1854, at the age of 12, with his family. They landed at Ellis Island, New York. He married Mary Foucek, November 15, 1867. She was born March 1, 1848 in Bohemia. To this union, 11 children were born: James, John, Mary, Charles, Anna, Fred , Joe, Will, and Edward James (this was my grandfather). James Vaclav Havel had a brother, Frank, Sr., and a sister, Josie. James went back to Czechoslovakia and married Pauline Vastlik (daughter of Rudoph Vastlik and Pauline Pavlik). She was born April 22, 1884 and died October 31, 1924. Her children were Christina, Sophia, Julie and Rudolph Vastlik. James Vaclav Havel and Pauline had no children. They were later divorced (date unknown). James Vaclav Havel died September 3, 1924. Any information will be greatly appreciated and reciprocated.

Researching: ROMPORTL, WOSMEKA, KUCHERY, KOCURKA, PICHY, BUCHTA
There has been research already made available on the Romportls contained in the Family Tree Maker, Volume 4, family tree 634. The family line includes all the listed family names and goes back to the 1600's. There was another Volume, 16, family trees 2061 and 2039, also listing possible relatives. I am a blood relative of the Romportl family. I was told that my great-grandparents came to America around 1879. They were Frantisek Romportl (born in the village of Oldris, Bohemia in 1846) and Vencencie Buchta (born in Moravia in 1847). They were married in Borovnice, Moravia in 1871. There were other relatives of Frantisek's who were to come or had already come to America, but thus far I cannot make the connection. The ancestor's family tree does not branch out far enough with cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. I would like to connect with the extended relatives.
