Researching: KLAMO
My father was Vincent Jerome Klamo born in Middletown,
Ohio in 1910 and died in South Daytona, Florida in March 1998. His father was Steven Klamo
and came to America in about 1904. His father was Paul Klamo and lived in Tresporska,
Austria-Hungary. I do not know where this is located today as the country has been divided
several times since then. I would like very much to find out information on my ancestors
and location as I am coming to Vienna and Prague in May and would like to visit some of
these sites. Please let me know of any information found.

Researching: BALLOUN, BALOUN, BALON
A major ancestral village was Krize circa 1876. Surname was Balloun or maybe Baloun or Balon.
My ancestors migrated to Baltimore and then to rural Arkansas - village of Dardanelle.

Researching: SADLO, BOUDA
My surname was Sadlo and Bouda, these were the names of my Great-great
grandmother. Sadlo was the name of my Grandfathers family. I'm working

Researching: KUBU, ELLMAN, ELLMANOVA, RECH, OPELKA
I am looking for any information on my Bohemian relatives. They all
immigrated to the Chicago area between 1870 and 1891 according to the
Illinois census data. The names are Frantisek Ellman or Ellmanova Born in 1854, Josefa Opelka
born in 1852. They were married in Bohemia abt. 1877. Also, Frantisek Kubu
born 1847 and Frantiska Rech born abt. 1847. They were married in Bohemia
abt. late 1860's. I am trying to find any information about where in Bohemia they came
from as well as their parents name. Thanks.

Researching: JAHN, GINZKEY
I am researching any info about the Jahn or Ginzkey families that lived in
Maffersdorf, Reichenberg during the mid-1800's. My g-grandfathers name was
Gerhard Jahn, and I think they may have been related to the Wilhelm Ginzkey

Researching: KRIKIVA, WALTERS
My grandmother Anna Krikiva, born on April 15, 1888, came to the US in the early 1900's from
a small village near Pilsen. She had a sister Francis & other siblings. I believe they first
settled in Chicago. As a young girl she worked at the Palmer House in Chicago. She married
George Walters & later moved to Michigan. Any information welcome. Thanks.

Researching: PHEIFFER, PFEIFFER
My surname I am looking for info on is Pheiffer/Pfeiffer.
Looking for information on Mary Elisabeth Pheiffer/Pfeiffer. All I know
is that she was born in Czech and left before the Iron Curtain went up.
She married and died in June 1955 in Mannheim, Germany City Hospital.

Researching: VAVRA, SEVERIN, SEVERYN
I am looking for the two brothers Frank and Joseph Vavra and two sisters of Matt Vavra.
Matt Vavra was born 03/17/1853 in Driten Bohemia he came to America around 1870 to Saline
County, Nebraska later around 1877 he settled in Valley County, Nebraska. Matt married Mary
(Severin/Severyn) and had eight children, I have all the names to the children. Frank was last
known in Wyoming (I have a picture of him), Joseph and two sisters last in Minnesota
03/02/1931 the time of Matts death. Possible parents to Matt, Frnak, Joseph and two sisters
were Frank and Annie (Erana) Vavra mothers name hard to read.

Researching: KARES. KARESH, REHA
I am interested in information about Matthew (F?) Kares(h) who was from Bohemia, Czech.
Possibly immigrated to America via Austria in the late 1800's. He married Anna Reha also
Czech. They had 8 children and lived in the Chicago area. The youngest was my grandfather,

Researching: PINC, BENICEK, KOLLAUS
Looking for relatives of Frank Pinc, born May 17, 1872 in Hluboka, Bohemia,
son of Jan Pinc and Anna Benicek. Three younger siblings were sisters Hany,
Emilie and Rezi (Teresa). He came to the USA in 1891 and settled in the
Chicago area, then joined the US Army during the Spanish American War and
served 30 years, retiring in August 1927. Spent time in the Philippines,
Alaska, and possibly China and Cuba. Married Marie Kollaus of Dittersdorf,
Austria in April 1909. Died January 28, 1935 and is buried at the National
Cemetery, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.

Researching: FEJKO
I see that you have Fayko, and Feyko in the listing. Why not Fejko? I understand that
is the correct spelling of my grandfather and his 4 brothers' name when
they arrived in this country in the early 20th century. That is the
spelling that I adopted when I learned this. They had been assigned
fayko because the officials thought the j inappropriate for the proper

Researching: LANGER, WEIGEL, APPEL
I am searching for more information about Vincenz Langer and Barbary Weigel that originated
in Bohemia. Also looking for more information about Joseph and Anna Appel from Landskron,
Bohemia who had two children that I know of, Paul and Anna who came to the USA around the
1870's. Paul came into port of New York and Anna went to Texas later moving to River Falls,
WI in 1883.
