Researching: CLINEBURG, CLINEBURGH, KLINEBERG
Ignatius Bernard Clineburg was from Prague, Austria. He was born in 1822 and came to the US in 1842. His occupation was that of a tanner. He worked at that trade throughout several western counties of New York before settling in Steuben County. He ended up taking charge of the Germania Tannery until sometime around 1890. I've been told that although he "claims" to have been from Prague, that if he was a tanner, his father was probably also a tanner and they probably lived outside the town of Prague where people of similar occupations lived. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I've hit a wall.

I am searching for any information on the name Ozanak. Paul Ozanak came to America 7/4/1913 on the Bremen Line he arrived in Massachusetts his intentions were to stay in America. He was born in Zielina Austria Hungary on June 22, 1896. His occupation in America was a weaver. Paul was single when he arrived in America. He then lived in Garfield and Passaic, NJ. Researching: LACHE
I am doing my family history. I do not know much about my Czech ancestor and hope someone out there can help me. My greatgrandfather was from Bohemia, I do not know where, he came to the United States about 1850`s and settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His name was Joseph Anton Lache, born about 1830, the son of Ignaz Lache. He may have had a brother named Wilhelm. That is all that I know and wish I had more information on his parents and so on . My grandmother, Mary (Persein) Ransom, was born in Prague abt. 1887. She was the daughter of JOSEPH Persein and Metilda (Ocacek) Persein. The family immigrated to New York City from Prague in late 1880's or early 1890's. They then moved to Chicago after 1909. Three children were born to Joseph and Metilda Persein: Daughter, Mary (Persein) Ransom; son, Joseph (Joe) Persein; and son, Anthony (Tony) Persein. The family communicated in Yiddish, and supposedly were of the aristocratic class in Old Austria. Any family information or source research references will be greatly appreciated.

Am interested in locating relatives in the Czech Republic. My Grandfather (Josef F. Piwetz) arrived in the USA in December , 1860, age 7. The family settled in and around Fayetteville, Texas. He married Alice Skalitsky, and they deceased in the 1930s (9 children). Birth certificates show "District of Neuhaus" and towns Platz and Alplatz. It's my understanding that they are now known as Jindrichuv Hradec, Straz Nad Nezarkov, and Plausko, respectively. Will be glad to hear from anyone in the area.

I am looking for ancestry for Jakob Jerovic from Bohemia. He was married to Kristina Dusek. I believe Kristina had a brother, Victor Dusek, from Trisky or Tisky, Bohemia ( I am unsure of spelling of this town!) Kristina made her First Communion in 1875 in a church in Susice. They had, I believe, 3 children. Two daughters, Lillian (date of birth April 25, 1893) and Josephine, came to the US in June 1911 aboard the Prinz Friedrich Wilhelm. I believe the two girls had an uncle, Frank Dusek, in New York City. Lillian, my grandmother, married Michael Walenta on August 27, 1917 in New York City. Lillian and Michael later moved to Corning, NY where Michael worked at the Corning Glass Works. I believe, but am not sure, that Kristina Dusek's family included a Frank Cap and a Mary Cap, as well as a priest, Fr. Peter Hais or Hass. I am not sure of the lineage beyond Kristina Dusek. I am searching for Adolf Hornyak, born March 5, 1882 in Hungary. (Gerly) Adolf died on October 30, 1961. He was married to Sophie Pollack. Sophie was also born in Hungary on May 15, 1885 and died in Pennsylvania on June 10, 1959. Adolf also died in Pennsylvania. Adolf first arrived in the United States on April 27, 1907 from the Czechoslovak Republic at Ellis Island. He returned to his native country to bring his wife and children to the United States. During 1786 - 1788 he served as a cadet at Roman - German - Caesar Uhlan Regiment of Prince Shvarzenberg. In 1789 Johann Karl von Montfort was appointed by General Coach-man of the King of Poland Stanislav August (Poniatovski). In 1788 - 1799 he served as a lieutenant at Volunteers Corps of Count O'Donell. In 1799 - 1801 he served as a staff-captain at the 1st Light Infantry Batalion of Marquis Strozzi. In 1801 he resigned from the 1st Light Infantry Batalion of Marquis Strozzi. His wife was Antonina Biganska. 20 November 1813 he has born his first son - Leonard.
