Researching: VESELEY, KLOBOUCNIK
I am an English aviation historian currently researching the history of RAF Cranage, a Royal Air Force station in the north-west of England. During late 1940 to October 1941, no. 96 Squadron were stationed here. Several pilots were of Czechoslovakian origin. I have two names and wonder if you or visitors to your web site might be able to assist me with any information about them or other Czech pilots who flew with the squadron during its time at RAF Cranage. The names of the two pilots are as follows: Flying Officer V. Veseley; Flying Officer J Kloboucnik. They would have flown Hurricane and Defiant fighters in nightfighter configuration. Any information about either gentleman would be received with grateful thanks. Many thanks for any assistance you may be able to give to me

Researching: MORAN
My relatives are from the Lanskroun region - German colonists, and I have recently found a family tree that was written in German. The family tree seems to indicate that there are at least 35 family trees that were created since there is a notation saying: "Bogen XXXV" for my family tree. There are also other references in parentheses for people who married into the family such as: "Bogen XXVII". Bogen means "sheet" in German. I am convinced that there are many of these family trees floating around - if we could find them, may be a lot of families with relatives from the Lanskroun area could be helped out with their searches. Any thoughts about how to try and find out about these sheets?
