Willon. Albert Married Barbara Kobes. Joseph married Bertha Sassman.
Josef Foral died from a concussion from a fall from a wagon accident and
died on 10-6-1904. On the death certificate it listed his parents as
Mathew and Mary Foral. On his Declaration of Intent papers he listed
his home as Bonn? Austria. I'm assuming that was the Austro-Hungarian
Empire. In German Brno is pronounced Brunn. Sounds like Bonn. I have
found records of a Jan Foral marrying a Josepa Vaverkova in 1805. They

Researching: CONKLIN
I am told it is possible that my ancestors migrated for Bohemia and
found themselves in England in the late 1400s - early 1500s. In England they
were known as glassmen or glass makers. Two brothers migrated to America in 1635 whose names were John and
Annanias Conklin. There is great speculation that since England did not have
an early glass making industry, these Conklins were either of Flemish,
Italian or Bohemian decent. One distant relative seems to remember noting that our name was a
derivative of a Czech or Bohemian name. What the original may have been if
this is true is an open question. Does anyone know of a glass making family who may have migrated to
Western Europe or England in the dates mentioned above? Can anyone link the
Conklin name with glass making or a derivative of the name like Konklink?
Can you think of other possible roots for this family name? Lots of
questions and very few answers earlier than 1500.
Thanks for any help that you may give.

Researching: NOVAK, NOWAK, POSVIC, BABKA, IRLBACKER, SLUKA, KLECKA
I am looking for the families of my g-g-grandparents. Here is what I know. My g-g-
grandmother was Mary/Marie Novak/Nowak (b. 1861 in Bohemia, d. 1943 in Chicago,
Illinois). Before WWI, she and her sister emigrated to America. The sister settled in
Milwaukee and had a son. I have no further info on her. Mary met and married
Augustine/August Novak (b.1854 in Tabor, Bohemia, d. 1900 in Chicago, Illinois). They
settled in Chicago and had six children: daughters Mary, Antoinette, Emma, Bessie, and
Agnes; and son August Jr, who died at approx age 5 of a very contagious disease (His
sisters were not allowed near him and had to watch from an upstairs window as his coffin
was taken away). Joseph Posvic and Mary Babka married in Bohemia and had one child
there before emigrating to America. They settled in Chicago, Illinois. Their children were
Joseph, Antoinette, Frank, Emma, Jerry, Bessie and possibly one more daughter (Jerry had
a twin sister, but I do not know her name). Jerry Posvic married Bessie Novak and they
had three children, including my grandmother Grace. Grace married Edward Irlbacker (b.
11/25/1919, d. 3/1961), son of Peter and Josephine (Sluka) Irlbacker. Josephine's parents
were James and Julia (Klecka) Sluka. Peter told daughter Lorraine (b. 1930) that she
would always be a Bohemian because her maternal grandparents were born in Bohemia.
Any further information on these families would be greatly appreciated!
