Did some more research and manage to trace the family back to 1834
the birth year of my great-grandfather as follows:
Father: Herbert Vondracek, geb. 01.05.1909 in Allendorf, Kreis
Witzenhausen, Germany. past away 11.10.1982 in
Celle, Lower Saxony, Germany, Married 02.10.1943 in
Celle, Lower Saxony, Germany. Wife Ingeborg
Vondracek, geb. Oetling. Grandfather:
Stanislaus Vondracek, geb. 24.01.1884 in Chlebov, Bohemian,
past away 11.12.1930 in Westercelle, Kreis Celle,
Germany, married 16.01.1909 in Allendorf, Kreis
Witzenhausen, Germany. wife Minna Vondracek, geb.
Great-grandfather: Josef Vondracek, geb. 30.12.1834 in Choustnik, Bohemian,
past away ??????, married with Antonia Vondracek geb.
Schwab. Anyone out there who can link any of the aforementioned to
his own family or knows anything about the Vondracek's out
of Choustnik, Bohemia please don't hesitate to contact me. There must
have been some brothers before Stanislaus Vondracek was born
and I believe some of them migrated to the US.

Researching: KLINER, HLAVA
My Great Aunt Libby Kliner wrote in a letter that her dad Ignac
Kliner's forefathers left Scotland durning the 30 year war around 1500.
They immigrated to Bohemia, He married Emma Hlava and immigrated to the
United States in 1860. They settled in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Any
information would be helpful regarding either of these surnames would be
helpful.

Researching: FRIEDMAN
Searching for Friedman relatives from Vapenik, Czec Republic, formerly
Austro/Hungarian Empire territory. Great Grandfather Samuel Friedman
(settled in Pennsylvania) and his brother Meyer (setteled in Ohio)
emigrated to America about 1856. Another relative Henry Friedman
emigrated to US around 1920 (settled in Staten Island, New York).

Researching: MATYASOVSKY, HLIBOKI, KOLESAR, BAKALAR
Aloha, we are looking for more info on George Matyasovsky and Anna Hliboki.
They came to the US in 1896 to Streator, Ill. They used the name Kolesar
while there. In 1898, they moved to Lakefield, Minn and took their real

first to Atlanta, GA, then married Henry Hugo and moved to Port Arthur,

Researching: JAROS, KRAL
I am exploring my Czech ancestry. I would like to confirm the
information I have about my grandparents, find out more about their
immigration, know their early life in the US, and discover who my
earlier ancestors were and where they were from. Eduard Jaros, born
11-14-1849 in Lahovice, Bohemia; arrived US 1880. Marie (Kral) Jaros,
born 3-25-1862 in Lahovice; arrived US 1877, Married Wausau WI 9-1882.
Settled in Braidwood IL prior to 1890. History since 1890 is known.
Some relatives say that we are descended from Tomas Jaros, mid 1500's
imperial courtesan, bell founder, and armorer, but there is no evidence
whatever about earlier generations.

Researching: SPOERL, KAISER, STANGL, VON BIEKER, BIEKER
My earliest know Bohemian Ancestor was George Spoerl b. abt 1820 who was
married to Maggie Kaiser. They had a son John Spoerl b. 1843 who married
Maggie Stangl b. 1843. My grandmother was Rosa/Rosie Spoerl born to them
in 1876 in Elgin, Illinois. There were other children. They lived in
Omaha, Nebraska from about 1880. Rosa married Leonard Von Bieker
(Bieker ?) Shedied in Childbirth in 1900. She had three living children.
Leonard, Has not been heard from since 1923, Katherine died in 1923 and
my father Louis Von Bieker moved to Saskatchewan Canada in 1911. I am a
daughter of Louis and Pearl Elliott Von Bieker. I am most interested in
any information on the Spoerl family. Where they might have come from in

My great-grandfather Matysek came to the Granger, Texas area in the late

in 1901 from Bohemia. Esther had a child named Michael Humecky. I am

I'm doing research on my Great Grandfather and his family. Would
appreciate any help in finding locations and other info.
Czech Kingdom, County of Domazlice, Loucin Parish, Brancov # 10.
John (Franz) Franc was married on June 30, 1885 in the Parish of Loucin,
diocese of Budejovice, Czech Kingdom. The groom Jan Franc, cloth maker,
Brancov 310, the son of Vaclav Franc, homeowner at Brancov #10, and his wife
Marie, nee Staubrom, Smrzovive, #1.
The bride, Josefa Hofmann, the daughter os Petr Hofmann, steward from Nove
Dovre, #1 and his wife Anna, nee Panos from Smrovice #13. John, was of the
Cartholic faith and was 21 years 7 months of age. Jopsefa was also Catholic,
and was 18 years 7 months at the time. The wedding certificate is recorded
in book No. 23, Page 46, item no. 167 of the diocese records. Witnesses
included Frantisek Slavs, farmer in Dobrikov #16 and Mraz Jakub, farmer in
Smrzovice #27. The priest was listed as Augustin Kaplick, chaplin.
According to citizen ship papers found for John, he arrived in the port of
Baltimore, MD., in May of 1887.
