Researching: FIEDLER
My grandfather "Wilhelm Fiedler" was born in Bohemia in 1879. I think
the area was Litomerice. His parent's names were Wilhelm and Augustine
Fiedler. He had 2 older sisters, Wilhelmina and the other name unkown.
My grandfather left Bohemia when he was 17 year old and went to London
for work. He married in London, and had to flee to America in 1914 when
WWI heated up in Europe. I am looking for any information on him. I would like to ultimately get
a copy of his birth certificate. His death cert, marriage cert and
naturalization papers in USA only list Bohemia as his birth place. My
uncle (Wilhelm's 2nd son) thinks the birthplace may be Litomerice.
Any help or suggestions on how I may continue my search would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
