83,000 Member Index

The book "Dejiny Spolku Sv. Vojtecha" (DSSV) was published in Trnava, Slovakia in 1930. Its title means "History of the Society of St. Vojtech", but Albert or Adalbert or Albert is/was used as equivalent to Vojtech. The book is a resource for Slovak family history research because it lists in its chapter directories about 83,000 SSV members in 1930, with about 67,000 in Slovakia and about 16,000 elsewhere, mostly in the USA.

The directory is organized by SSV chapters and affiliates identified by location. Thus, the directory can be used to search via surname for possible family ancestral areas. Because the DSSV has been microfilmed by the LDS Family History Library, it is widely accessible. Its FHL reel number is 1183643, item 2.

Happy family history hunting!
