May 16, 1991, in the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, Brighton
Township.
Born april 12, 1916, in Struthers, Ohio, a daughter of the late
Andrew and Mary Macella Kopchak, she was a member of Saint George
Byzantine Catholic Church, Aliquippa, and 1199P. She retired as
a practical nurse at Aliquippa Hospital.
Surviving are a son, Joe Kairush, at home, and a brother, George
Kopchak, Uniontown, Pa. she was preceded in death by her husband,
Joe Kairush, on May 2, 1977; a brother, Joseph Kopchak, and a
sister, Mary Kopchak Harim.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the
Darroch Funeral Home, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa, where a
service will be conducted saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a

Joseph Kopchak; Retired from J&L
Joseph Kopchak, 64, of 2017 South Heights Ave., died of a heart
ailment at 12:30 p.m. in South Side Hospital after a four-year
illness.
Mr. Kopchak was born January 13, 1919, in Fairchance, Pa., a son
of Andrew and Mary Macella Kopchak, coming to Youngstown 32 years
ago. He had worked 30 years for Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp.,
retiring as a craneman in 1980.
He was a member of Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and
its United Societies Lodge, and had served as a military policeman
in the army during World War II.
He leaves his wife, the former Pauline Stanislaw, whom he married
May 15, 1948; two sons, Duane of Youngstown and Gregory of
Glenolden, Pa.; a brother, George of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Ann
Kairush of Alliquippa, Pa.; and three grandsons.
A sister, Mary Harim, died in 1965.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Fabrizio Funeral
Home and 10:00 a.m. in the church. Friends may call from 7 to 9
p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
where a prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born December 26, 1941 in Uniontown, the
daughter of the late John and Mary (Kopchak) Harim.
She was a member of St. Stephen’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Leisenring and its
ladies guild. She was employed by the Dept. of Defense and retired from the US
Army Material Command on December 31, 1999. She was a member of the AARP.
She is survived by her 2 brothers, John M. Harim and wife Gloria and Joseph A. Harim
and wife Myra both of Dunbar, and 6 nieces and nephews, John M. Jr and wife Sherry,
