
Pickled Beets

All of these recipes were given to me by my Grandmother Julianna Lazorik Barnyik Ambrisko, who was born in Kosicka Bela, Slovakia on June 15, 1882. I have had them since I was twelve, when I watched her make all this on holidays.... now I do...
2 - 1 lb cans sliced beets (or equivalent in fresh cooked & sliced)
Place in large flat bowl with cooking liquid
Add 2 tblsp vinegar, salt & pepper
1 onion thinly sliced.
Mix together let set in frig a few hours. (Can be made ahead & put in canning jar) Use within a week
