All of these recipes were given to me by my Grandmother Julianna Lazorik Barnyik Ambrisko, who was born in Kosicka Bela, Slovakia on June 15, 1882. I have had them since I was twelve, when I watched her make all this on holidays.... now I do...
Vlassky Salat (Italian Salad)
2 cups ham, cut into strips
2 cups cooked peeled potatoes, cut into strips
2 cups pickles, cut into strips
1 cup onion, cut into strips
1 cup sour apples, cored, cut into strips
Mayonnise
salt & pepper to taste
Mix all above in large bowl, add mayonnaise & season, chill for several hours before serving.
Serves 8-10
