Researching: LESONDAK, SABOL, MUDRAK
I am interested in tracing the family name. My father Mihal Lesondak was born in Osturna in 1903. He was had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He emigrated to Canada about 1930, then to Chicago where, in 1940 he married Marie Sabol who emigrated from Svidnik about 1935. Two of his 3 brothers also emigrated to Chicago -Mitro and Sam- married to Julia Mudrak. Mitro had two daughters and Sam had one son - George who now lives in Downers Grove IL. The fourth brother John and his 2 sisters stayed in Czechoslovakia- I think. While surfing the net, I found another group of Lesondaks in Pennsylvania who appear to be the offspring of John. Is John my fathers fourth brother? If so, I have many living relatives who I do not know. My name is Edward Peter Lesondak and I was born in 1947. My brother named Michael was born in 1940 and died of cancer in 1967.
