Researching: RACZEK
I am searching for any information on the name Raczek, this was my husband's name and his father came from what was (I think Poland) to South America in early 1918. There he met and married Frank's mother and was never back in his homeland again. I know that he had a least one brother and some sisters. Both my husband and father-in-law are now deceased, so information is really hard to come by. I would love to fill in the blanks for my daughter who is also and only child. I have pictures of some of his family and his old German passport. I'm not sure about the geography of the area, he considered himself a German, although the name is Czechoslovakia but when he talked of home he said he was born in Poland. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Researching: FINDURA, YAVORSKY, JAVORSKY
My Aunt, Mary Yavorsky, put this down on paper as a place where I might find ancestors: "Slovenska, Spisska Nova Veskemo". A relative was there by the name of Anna Findura. She is probably deceased by now but I wonder if I might find surviving relatives. My grandfather (Mary's father) came over in 1910 on foot (!?). He was a tailor, widowed, and unwilling to fight in the army. Any help is welcome. My grandfather was Michael Yavorsky. His home was in Spisska Nova Ves and Smizany. I don't know where that is or whom to contact there and welcome any suggestion
