I'm looking for more information on my maternal grandparents, Joseph Gaydos (may have been Gajdos) and Mary Hovanec (may have been Chovanec). They were married before they came to America, sold their farm, he came through Ellis Island in the early 1900's (pre-1908), she came 1 year later, and settled in Chicago. Joseph supposedly had several brothers and at least one immigrated to America around the same time - I don't know the brother's name. The brothers apparently had a feud and did not speak with each other. I believe I have relatives of Gaydos in the Cleveland area who may be Joseph's brother's family.
