Researching: ROSENWASSER, FEIGENBAUM
My great grandmother's name was Hermina Rosenwasser and she was married to Armen Feigenbaum
in the town of Medziliboritz, Slovakia. I cannot find the family name on an 1869 census, which leads me
to believe she is from another town in Slovakia, please e-mail me if you have any information.

Researching: BENDIK, SWEDLAR
My grandfather, Rudolph Bendik, died in his mid 20's during the 1918 influenza outbreak. He lived in
Dunlo, Pennsylvania. He married Helen Swedlar there. They had two daughters, my mother, Cecilia,
(later changed to Veronica) now deceased and Mary, also now deceased. Little is known of the Bendik
family after his death. For that matter, little is known of the Swedlar family at this point.

Researching: METRICK, DRUYTOYK
I am researching the Metrick and Druytoyk surnames. Around 1900 Mike and
Katherine Metrick (old spelling supposed to be Druytoyk)
came to the USA , entering through Philidelphia and settling
around Minersville, Pa, then moved on to Raliegh County
WVA,USA. I really don't have much about them except that
tey were from Poland and Austria. One of them was supposed
to be from the region of Galacia. Can anyone offer
help/suggestions? I'm also interested in the general

Researching: HUDAK, SAJNA, FERYO, OLACH
Would a family from Palin, Slovakia attend the church in Porac? I understand that the villages are close
in distance. Is this correct? The names in my background are Hudak, Sajna, Feryo, and Olach. I
reach dead ends trying to research these names. I have found Hudaks in a 1931 census of Koterbachy

I am trying to find out more about my grandfather's, Vasily Krepich, and grandmother's, Mary Heiner,

grandfather immigrated to Scranton PA in 1898 and they were married in 1905. They lived for many years
in Berwick PA. I don't know anything else. Is this a Rusyn name? I live in England, but my family still lives
in Pennsylvania.

Researching: MARCIN, DUPAL
My grandmother emigrated from Slovakia somewhere between 1906 and 1910. They referred to
themselves as Slovaks. I have great memories of the language, etc. Her father's name was John Marcin.
Somewhere in the family was the name Dupal. They settled in the Pittsburgh area. All I know about their
homeland is that they were invaded by soldiers and had to leave. My grandfather was from the Ukraine
and they understood each other's language. I'm assuming that her family might have been from the
border. Any information or would be interesting. Thanks.
