Villages: Benkovce,Tavarne,Matiasovce all of which are slightly north of
Vranov n Toplu. John Kuzma and his family came to Homestead, PA in 1887.
He had a brother Michael Kuzma and many of Michael's children's families
came to Homestead later. John Uher and his wife Anna Kuzma came to
McKeesport, PA in 1906-07. Anna was born in Homestead, the daughter of
John Kuzma (mentioned above) and Maria Tirpak. Anna later moved with her
family back to Benkovce where she met John Uher. John and Anna Kuzma Uher
are my granparents on my father's side. I have done extensive research on
the Roman Catholic church records of Ondaske Matiasovce and have traced
several family lines back to the 1760's.

Michael Miklos supposed to have been born in Lipnik, Hungary September
29, 1862; emigrated from Bremen, Germany in April 1882 and applied for
citizenship at Shenandoah, Pennsylvania in 1884. Would very much appreciate any
info specifically about Michael Miklos and/or Miklos family with origins
in Hungary (Austria-Hungary at that time). Understand there are
or were several "Lipnik" towns or villages and do not know which is the
correct one. Would also like to know if there is any information available and
where on ship sailings for the US from Bremen in the 1882-1885 time

1800's. The Grosz family had some children born in Buzinka. The patriarch
of the family was Josef Grosz who married Bella Markovics and had a
number of children, one of whom was Moritz Grosz who married Resi
Friedman and moved at various times from Buzinka to Tallya, Hungary.
Also looking for any link to Kreisz family who had eleven children. Jonah
Kreisz married Liebe Pepi Schvartz and lived at times in Sabinov, Buzinka,

The name we are really looking for information on is Magac, Magos, Magoish,
Magach, Magotch, or any name that when pronounced would be spelled close to
this. Suzanna's marriage name would be something close to one of the above,
and supposedly Andrew, her husband, may have been born in Austria (Where,

Three brothers came to Cleveland, Ohio, around 1895, split up and had name
changes. One was Joseph, one was John, and the third went to Illinois and
was never heard from again. The brothers lost contact with each other and no
one living has information on the family. John owned a dairy in Cleveland
called Hercl Dairy. Joseph was a cabinet maker and painter. Their father
was Frank. Joseph Married Anna Broucil. John married Elizabeth whose last
name is not known. It is believed they were from the Prague area.

Jacob Jedlick and wife Barbara (Micka) immigrated in 1888 from
Slovakia/Bohemia, living first in Illinois, then finally in Minnesota.
They had Edward (born in Slovakia/Bohemia), Andrew (born in Illinois),
and Barbara (born in Minnesota).
Edward (born 1867) married Mary Sontra and lived in Pine City and
Meadowlands, Minn. Several of their children settled in the Duluth
area.
Don't know where in Hungary or Slovakia/Bohemia they came from. Any
information would be greatly appreciated.
