McJoyful Christmas in Eastern Europe
Eastern Slovakia
Slovak and Carpatho-Rusyn Genealogical Research
This is a presentation put together by Ed Dickson, a Canadian missionary living in
Kiev, Ukraine. He has been working for a number of years to improve the living
conditions for orphans in this country, and to show these kids how much God loves
them.
McDonalds has become the elite place to eat in Ukraine !
Orphan kids don't get to eat there.
A few years ago, he came up with the idea of taking the kids from the orphanage to
McDonalds for lunch at Christmas.
Last year, he helped to take 900 kids in the city of Krivoy Rog to McDonalds at
Christmas time.
It may not seem like much, but in the Ukraine only families who are well off can
afford to go.
Loads of Love has taken over 16,000 children to McDonald's so far.
